How Does Repiping Work?
Repiping is not a temporary fix. It’s a permanent solution for the entire plumbing system in your home or business. We turn off the water supply, remove old pipes, and replace them with new piping. After the new system is installed, we turn the water on and perform tests on the new system. Once the system passes our tests, it’s good to go.
The best time for repiping is before you remodel and repaint or refinish your walls. We will need to cut into some of your walls for access, and you don’t want to have to finish walls twice. Let us do the repiping first so your remodel goes more smoothly.
How Much Does Repiping Cost?
You can expect repiping to cost no less than $2 per square foot of your structure, depending on the plumbing materials you choose. It also varies based on the number of bathrooms and sinks in your home. An average repiping job for a 1,500 square foot home can cost $3,000 or more.
Before we ever begin the repiping process, we will explain the materials that will be used, the work that will be performed, and the costs of the process. We will also explain to you any work that we will outsource to a contractor who will refinish your walls.
