Hot water boiler REPLACEMENT
Although Wilson Plumbing & Heating, Inc. is a full-service plumbing company, the core of our business has always been boilers.
Hot water boilers, or hydronic boilers, are among our specialties at Wilson Plumbing & Heating. We have installed, serviced and corrected hot water heating systems all over the Greater Akron area. We have serviced many area landmarks, including the following:
All of the Executive Properties apartment buildings
St. Vincent Church and School
West Hill Baptist Church
In addition to our extensive commercial work we have also worked on hot water heating systems in thousands of local homes.
How a hot water heating system works
A hot water heating system creates and transmits hot water through hydronic baseboards or radiators in your home or business. The water is pumped through the system and returns to the boiler, where it is reheated and circulated again. This kind of heat is comfortable thanks to the moisture, which helps the dry winter air feel denser and saturated with warmth.
Hot water boilers are powered by electricity, natural gas, oil or propane. They are easy to maintain and compact enough to fit in tighter spaces, which can be an important factor in older homes or buildings.
How to know when you need a system replacement
With years of experience in servicing hot water heating systems, we know when your system needs replacement. Here are signs that you may need a new system:
The burner ignition is malfunctioning
Valves and burners are worn
The pressure-regulating systems are inefficient
The tank size isn’t right for your household or business
The circulation pump is broken
The water-filling component is faulty
The boiler and heat exchange is clogged with mineral deposits
If any of these components are damaged beyond repair or replacements cannot be found, a new system may be needed. We can install a replacement system and fit it to your existing channels.
