Backflow People

A backflow preventer is a device which is installed on the main water line as it enters a building.  It is a type of check valve which prevents water from flowing back into the city water once it enters a building or home.
It's purpose is to protect the city water supply from contamination from water inside a building which has become tainted and non-drinkable.  It has happened in Akron's own recent history that processing water from an industrial building polluted a large area of Akron's drinking water.
Because backflow preventions are so important for the safety of our city drinking water, they require yearly inspection, testing and certification by a licensed professional.
Wilson Plumbing and Heating has three full-time certified specialists to handle your yearly certification procedure.
